Terms of service.
These terms are the agreement between you and Golden Locks, Lda., the company that runs crub. By creating an account or using crub, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use crub.
1. Who we are
crub is operated by Golden Locks, Lda., registered in Portugal with NIPC 514264233, Av. Miguel Bombarda 42, 6A, 1050-166 Lisboa, Portugal. Contact: legal@crub.co.
2. What crub is
crub is a back office for content creators: it keeps the companies and people you work with, your campaigns, deliverables and invoices, and, if you choose, the email conversations behind them. Reminders, payment tracking, summaries and suggestions are there to help you. You remain responsible for your invoices, your taxes, collecting payment, and what you send to others.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live.
- You sign in with a Google account. Keep it secure, and do not share your crub account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at legal@crub.co if you think someone else has accessed it.
4. Gmail, your forwarding address and AI
- Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect it, you allow crub to read your email, to send email you write or approve in crub, and to mark messages read or unread in Gmail (
gmail.modify). If you also allow Calendar (calendar.events) or Drive (drive.file), crub uses them only as described in the privacy policy. - crub sends email only when you press send. You are responsible for the content of the email you send through crub, as you would be from Gmail itself.
- Email you forward to your crub address must be email you are entitled to share with us.
- AI summaries and suggestions are optional and can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them; nothing changes in crub until you accept it.
- crub's use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can remove crub's access from your Google Account permissions at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use crub to:
- break the law or anyone's rights, including by storing content you have no right to;
- send spam, bulk or unsolicited email, or harass anyone;
- try to access other accounts, our systems or data that is not yours, or disrupt crub's operation, including with automated tools;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell crub, except where the law allows;
- store payment card numbers, government identity numbers or health information, which crub is not built to protect to those standards.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. In serious cases we may do so without notice.
6. Your content
- What you put into crub, and what crub files from your email, remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
- You give us a limited licence to host, process, back up and show it to you, only to run crub for you. The licence ends when the content is deleted or your account is closed.
- You can ask for a copy of your data at any time.
7. Our service
- crub is in active development. Features may change, be added or be removed.
- crub, its software, design and brand belong to Golden Locks, Lda. You may use crub while your account is open, but not our brand without written permission.
- If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
- If we ever close crub, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to get your data.
8. Price
crub is free during its early access. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell existing users at least 30 days before, and the price, billing and any taxes will be clear before you pay. If you are a consumer in the EU, you will have the 14-day right of withdrawal that the law gives for paid digital services.
9. Disclaimers
We work to keep crub available and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free: maintenance, third-party services such as Google, and events outside our control can affect it. To the extent the law allows, crub is provided as it is and as available. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.
10. Liability
- Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us for crub in the 12 months before the claim, or €100.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill or business interruption.
- None of this limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Ending your use of crub
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Your data is then deleted as the privacy policy and the data deletion page describe.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously break these terms, if the law requires it, or after a long period of inactivity, telling you first where we can.
- Sections 6, 7, 10 and 13 continue after your account is closed.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in crub at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
13. Law and disputes
Portuguese law governs these terms. The courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction, unless the law gives you, as a consumer, the right to bring a claim where you live. Please contact us first at legal@crub.co; most things can be solved by talking. If you are a consumer in Portugal, you can also turn to a consumer arbitration centre; the list is published by the Direção-Geral do Consumidor at consumidor.gov.pt.
14. Everything else
- These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about crub.
- If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not giving it up.
- You may not transfer your account. We may transfer these terms as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, after telling you.
- If these terms are translated, the English version prevails unless the law says otherwise.
